Mississippi Hotdog

Last Saturday on the 22nd Summer Sophie, David and Jonathan all played together in the Fiddlers Convention. Even though they didn't place they had a lot of fun and the crowd loved them. I am so proud of them! *smile* They did great!

Here are some more. ( I know you couldn't wait!)

All the kids got to ride a horse. Summer's turn.

Cutest Kid in the West!!!!

Gimme a shave pardner!

Panning for fool's gold.

The kids got to ride an antique swing ride. Jonathan cried and screamed to stop and get off during the whole ride and as soon as the ride stopped and he was on the ground he says "That was fun!".

This is how Dad rode the paddle boats.

Dad, Ruby, and I!

Tin-Tin's turn!

Sophie's turn.

David's turn.
There's more to come.........

Everything and Everyone

Here are some things we did during our Summer......

We went to Frontier Town one day. Everyone dressed-up.

Dad's friend Johnny the Indian painted our faces.
This is how it looks if you do a 2 person paddle boat with one person.

We brought water balloons for the hold-up on the stage coach ride.Haha! It was funny!

On our way to a Baseball game. The guys loved it because it was "NFL night".
The van we rode to the game in

Where has the summer gone?

As crazy and wonderful as the summer is, I can't help but look forward to the fall. I love the changing seasons. The smell of burning wood drifting on a cool breeze. The trees as they drop their emerald coats to don the reds and oranges of the dying leaves. Isn't it funny how the leaves are the most beautiful when they are dying? Is that how we are? Do we become more vibrant when we die to our desires, putting others higher than ourselves? Serving instead of waiting to be served? Cheerfully giving of our cup? I think so. This is the way our Master walked, should we not follow?
Lord, start with me. Make me more willing to follow in your footsteps even as You became a servant to all.
